Development on a "Magic: The Gathering" movie is continuing, with Canadian filmmaker Matt Johnson in pole position to direct, according to @Deadline. Johnson has solid indie roots, having co-created the "Nirvana the Band the Show" web series and low-budget films "The Dirties" and "Operation Avalanche" before hitting the relative big time with the well-received "BlackBerry" in 2023. Trading card game Magic: The Gathering is Hasbro's first billion-dollar brand. Here's more.

10 years ago today the first season of Daredevil premiered. Still one of the best live action Marvel productions, and still one of the most successfully executed comic-to-screen adaptations we got, managing to keep a perfect balance between having a more serious tone, while still not feeling ashamed to stay true to its source material.
