It took a couple of weeks learning how the the values yaml files for rook ceph are supposed to be written. But I have finally managed to get a rook ceph storage cluster configured on a Talos kubernetes cluster!

I can do this stuff!

Next step is getting it to work with an ArgoCD CI/CD pipeline.

Hab ja eigentlich großen Spaß dran, mein #Homelab mit #Kubernetes zu betreiben, aber der Overhead fürs ganze cloud-native Geraffel auf einem Single Node ist schon arg groß. Am liebsten würd ich das grad alles abfackeln und wieder mit Docker Compose machen. Hab ich Bock, ~40 k8s-Deployments manuell in Compose syntax zu konvertieren? 👀

Playing with #Longhorn for the first time. By default it sets up a storageClass with a reclaim policy set to delete. If I'm snapshotting and backing up volumes regularly, are there any major advantages/disadvantages to creating a duplicate storageClass with the reclaim policy set to retain? It seems I shouldn't bother and should instead rely on the backups.
