Been waiting for coffee prices to go up at our market of choice.

Finally happened. Up $2 (28-ounce bag, whole beans).

Free-range organic eggs from a local source are steady at $5.49 a dozen, after jumping 50 cents last month.

I sound like the noon farm report.

What about dog food?

"When will depend on how much any particular company ordered early. Target officials, for instance, said during its most recent earnings call last month it ordered more in January to get in warehouses.

"But Brian Cornell, CEO of the Minneapolis-based retailer, said last month people will see price increases on items like produce quickly because they don’t have a long shelf life. Many berries, peppers and tomatoes come from Mexico and have faced a 25% tariff since early March."

A new report finds groceries are getting more expensive at Woolworths but cheaper at Coles. The Choice price tracker shows the cost of shopping at Aldi barely changed between March and December 2024 in a quarterly assessment of 14 common items. #GroceryPrices #CostOfLiving #Woolworths #Coles #Aldi #PriceTracker #SupermarketWars #Australia

It’s been 11 days and grocery prices HAVE NOT FALLEN as promised (instead rising 1.52%). Was the promise to reduce grocery prices on Day One just a lie? Was blaming others during the campaign just deception (saying that the 2024 administration should have lowered prices, but did not)? What is your plan to reduce prices?

We want the lower grocery prices promised and will be tracking these over time to confirm you live up to your campaign promises.

Here's the three shrinkflated items compared by price per 100ml or gram.

Guess what, it's worse :) (naturally)

idk about you all, but my salary has NOT experienced even remotely the same increases as those grocery items in this four-year span... hmmm...
