Fictional exam question: At the Unicorn Princess coding and touch typing summer school, the lab plays a shared playlist on loop consisting initially of only "Baby Shark". When each participant completes a challenge they get to select a new song to add to the playlist. Taylor Swift has 274 songs. How many challenges will be completed before all these songs will be on the playlist? Justify your answer. #Exam #SummerSchool

"If this doesn't taste like the #Queen herself, I'll scream!"

Overheard in the kitchen, where my #teen daughter and her two friends are practicing for their upcoming #cooking #exam at #school. FYI, they're making oven baked slices of pork roast with parsley sauce, open faced sandwiches with potatoes and mayo and strawberry tart. The theme is "traditional #Danish #food". Pics later.

And the girl uttering the memorable quote is excused - she's half #American.

Tomorrow is my #exam and I'm setting up #kvaesitso launcher 😅. The one thing I am missing is Double Tap to turn screen off.I know you can do that by accessibility settings but I remove some system packages and broke it. And I'm not planning for another factory reset soon . So I will maybe stick without double tap screen off. And also the breezy weather integration is not working. I don't have Google play services or microG, so location won't work.

Just been in a meeting with my faculty's disability support people, where they said they were trying to buy an accessible scientific calculator for a visually impaired student to use in exams.

Googling, I found this - visionaid.co.uk/calculators/sc - which has the assistive tech margin added for a cost of £535!

Meanwhile, I know the Desmos calculator is accessible and free, so it'd be cheaper to just buy a cheap tablet or laptop and use that!

Are there any other accessible scientific calculators that they should look at?

I mean, they're not hard to make in software. I've made several myself.

The crisis continues in with the Govt. compounding the problem by refusing requests fr help for students in schools where facilities are unusable due to the risk of building collapse....

This story remains a metaphor for how the UK's approach to (cost-cutting & skipped maintenance) is not sustainable.... and as we know this is not an issue limited to schools.
