Seems that Pocket is either EOL or about to be relaunched as another AI discovery widget.

Either way backup as much as you can.

The extension already stopped working on Chromium browsers and Mozilla hasn't said anything about it despite being one of their few paid products with mainstream appeal.

What github would I submit an issue to for an issue that affects the #GameGear #FPGA on the #analogue #pocket? Is there a "default" core that runs when you run it off cartridge that's different from if I load in an emu? Issue is in both, fwiw, so it has to be the FPGA (save corrupts it) not my cart or rom

Nobody seems familiar with my problem so maybe it only affects shining force, but it's 100% consistent and very frustrating

I really want to keep using & supporting #gecko but #Mozilla is going down the toilet- what to do?

#Firefox desktop -> #LibreWolf (that was easy, simply copied my profile and it all came back exactly as before)

#Firefox mobile -> #IronFox (also easy on #GrapheneOS via #Accrescent store)

I can still use #FirefoxSync on both which is nice 'cos I am not quite ready to leave that convenience yet.

Now it's mostly just a matter of replacing my dependency on #Pocket (compiled out of LibreWolf), but that was on my list of services to deprecate anyway...

So for some of you that think the verbage on the #Mozilla #Firefox is enough, to me - and to many others - it is hard to trust them anymore.

People had a problem with the #Pocket affiliation, people had a problem with the #telemetry, people had problems seeing the new #ad system as privacy safe, and people had a problem with the new verbage in the #ToS. These issues are compounded.

But also, as #primeagen has pointed out, making a modern browser is complex and expensive.

How do we fix that?

Been poking around at various retro games on my #analogue #pocket looking for something else to try.

It really is striking how many games back then let you name your main character...but made *absolutely certain* you were a guy and that they reminded you multiple times throughout the intro that you were a male and referred to with male pronouns.

I'm sure it wasn't even intentional but the expectations were simply that deep. Esp in Japanese games.

Cleaned out whatever was in my #Pocket and... found this gem.

I recently switched from #Pocket to (self-hosted) #Wallabag and put #KOReader on my #Kobo #eInk reader.

It started as a quick "let's see how it goes", but developed into a complete switch, and a whole new way how I read and process books and articles. I am seriously impressed!

Well no one seems familiar with my issue (Sleep/save states break Shining Force, to the point that waking from sleep erases CART SAVES. Physical cart. Very scary.)

Is there any way to completely disable the sleep feature for a bit or something? I can't play an RPG-length game with a physical kill switch I'm habituated to pressing when I'm done playing

Saving seems fine, but if it loads a save--game glitches, all physical saves erased. Disapointed

Disable or re-enable Pocket for Firefox
Search for "pocket" in advanced settings, and change `extensions.pocket.enabled` to false (or back to true)

The #Pocket extension on #Chrome has been removed, and #Mozilla doesn't respond. Their website is incredibly outdated, with a ton of links that don't work anymore.

I feel that Pocket is going to die.
