Dear #farmers / #NFU. Says here that roughly 100,000 UK farms are <= 20 hectares. If you think 100,000 farmers being angry -- when they've been pissed off since, well, as long as I can remember, really -- I'm afraid you're in for a big surprise. In short, no-one cares. Sorry.

(Edit, sorry the context is a change in inheritance tax law in today's #UKbudget to close a loophole used by some to dodge it - putting their wealth into loosely-defined agricultural holdiings, because they're exempt from IHT, because of the ancient tradition of farms being handed down through generations. If you want to blame someone, blame wealthy people with no farming links whatsoever who feel entitled to dodge the taxes the rest of us have to pay.
