Disappointed to see #Sheffield dairy farm Our Cow Molly buying into completely unsubstantiated right wing conspiracy theories about Bovaer. The video they've linked to takes safety issues when handling the raw substance and tries to conflate it to the far lower concentrations that go into the cattle feed. There's also no evidence that it ends up in the milk, or that it negatively affects milk yields.

They're also buying into the campaign wealthy landowners are mounting against Labour's removal of farmers' exemption from inheritance tax in a big way, with banners on display. Guess I'll be finding somewhere else to get my milk and ice cream.

If #farmers in the UK are so worried about #InheritanceTax why don't they do like the aristocracy did when they were being hit by massive death duties. They created the #NationalTrust so they could "donate" their massive mansions and estates to a public body to avoid paying death duties. Their offspring could still live in said mansions but they were tenants paying rent.

So farmers set up National Farms, when they croak they "donate" their land and property to National Farms. Their offspring become tenant farmers.

Of course National Farms would be very amenable to the farmers as after all it would be run for farmers by farmers.

Fuck that make the bastards pay tax like everyone else. Why are farmers special.
