Just when you thought he couldn't get stupider or more historically ignorant...

His Orangeness Mango Mussolini, the Melon Felon, has a bee in his bonnet [1] about canals, but it's not just about #Panama now. On his social network - a fork of Mastodon, of course - he wrote:

> American Ships, both Military and Commercial, should be allowed to travel,
> free of charge, through the Panama and Suez Canals! Those Canals would
> not exist without the United States of America.

The Panama canal, maybe.

The Suez canal, however, was proposed by a #Frenchman, financed primarily by #Europeans, built by forced and voluntary labour sourced from countries in the region under the management of the French, and then operated by a French company with a contract for 99 years.

The USA had absolutely #zilch to do with the Suez canal. Which is probably for the best, because the USA was kind busy fighting its own civil war and then the #reconstruction that followed it - the canal was built from 1859 to 1869.

So, Mr. Trump: pull your head out of your ass, admit your ignorance, apologize to Egypt, France, and the rest, and slink off to your history-free corner of D.C. with your tail between your legs.

[1] Maybe it's good he has a bee in there. There isn't much else rattling around in that particular bone soap dish.

EVEN THE #CONSERVATIVES ON THE #SCotUS need to recognize that for every inch they give, #MangoMussolini will take a mile.

If they don't start to stand up to him now, they will render the High Court *irrelevant* for the next 50 years once the Executive Branch decides it can simply ignore every ruling, do whatever it wants, and suffer no consequences thanks to some imaginary "Presidential Immunity" they bestowed upon him.

They are supposed to be a CO-EQUAL BRANCH of the Federal gov't.

Regarding #Trump's recent physical...

1. Trump lies. Constantly. About everything. It's his default state of being, and is as natural as breathing to him.

2. Trump has a massive ego and also a massive inferiority complex. He needs constant fluffing and reinforcement. He has to be told he is better, handsomer, smarter, everything-er than everybody else.

Put those together, and you get:

3. The things Trump lies about more than anything else are ... himself. He cheats at golf to win tournaments at clubs he owns, so he can be "champion". He brags about first-placing in contests or comparisons that didn't happen or which don't rank participants at all. And on and on...

What's this got to do with his physical?

Well, he announced his results and it says he's 6'3" and weighs 224 pounds.

Which, if true, would mean he's 5 or 6 inches taller than me, but weighs the same. Anyone familiar with how scaling a 3D object up by linear factor X affects mass is now laughing their guts out.

He is *far* more obese than me. Of *course* he's lying about his weight. If he's less than 270 pounds I will eat my hat, and it would not surprise me in the least if he weighed 300 pounds.

So, do you want your government run by a pathetically insecure man-baby who has to lie about his weight to feel better than everyone else?

Shame on his doctor putting his signature to such bullshit.

CBC had a story on US farmers being upset about Trump's tariffs:

cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/ca

For reference, #NorthDakota and #SouthDakota voted roughly 2/3 for Trump. Farmers are a fairly conservative bunch by nature, and it's reasonable to assume that the percentage of farmers voting Trump was even higher.

It is difficult to muster much sympathy for them. #FAFO, as they say.

CBCTariffs on Canadian goods having a 'devastating effect,' U.S. farmers say | CBC NewsAmerican farmers say U.S.-imposed tariffs on Canadian goods are having a "devastating effect" on the local agriculture sector south of the border.

A pressing mater for Canadians with the coming election: No to M🍁G🍁, no Conservative government, "Pas question!". Russia used to be the Enemy, now we have a more formidable one to contend with. Saying NO to the 51st State is not enough when the #mangomussolini can count on the Military Might of the US, even though #hegseth is making it as incompetent as he is. Just wait for the POS in Chief to declare Martial Law in one of his Extorsion Orders. #canpoli

In which I list some of the reason's what @senatorcory is doing right now is important and necessary (and EVERY Democratic Senator should help him in any way they can)!

1. He is now preventing the Senate from confirming a #MangoMussolini lackey to further weaken @nato

2. The world needs to know that the vast majority of #Americans are NOT OK with what Trump and his techbro #AparteidClyde are doing -- but even more importantly Putin & China need to know it.

It's almost like the #MangoMussolini hates #America. His bullying of military leaders, judges, law firms, universities and the media; his disdain for Congress; his attempts to chill speech through deportation and litigation; his tolerance for incompetent cabinet secretaries who endanger American troops. #uspol #uspolitics

What I'd like to know is, why isn't Greenland simply refusing to host them? Don't issue visas, tell them they're not welcome, refuse landing permission if they're stupid enough to come anyway.

Having Cletus Vance's wife and other American officials visiting for *any* reason is insane when Mango Mussolini is threatening to take Greenland by force.

@lauren

Mango Mussolini's long game of stochastic terrorism really has paid dividends.

Former Democratic presidents? Absent.

Retired Democratic senators (and most of the sitting ones...) ? Absent.

Similar for congresscritters? Absent.

Seriously, not a peep from Biden, Obama, the Clintons... or from (comparatively) principled Republicans, for that matter.

The #silence is #deafening. We can hear it from Canada.
