Just watched High and Low and I am not afraid to say it: this Kurosawa-guy might be good filmmaker.

letterboxd.comA ★★★★★ review of High and Low (1963)I just got this on the new BFI Blu-ray and I have never seen it before, so when I saw that it was screening today (one screening only) I felt like I should do it justice and see it on a big screen in a crowded theater instead. Kidding, the theater was 1/3rd full, everybody else was watching A Minecraft Movie. [CryEmoji] Wow. This film just twists and squirms like a worm on a hook (or was that me in the theater?). It changes with each setting, going from an almost a stage play with this HUGE moral dilemma dividing

Just watched September 5, a film I could've watched earlier (like in the 90's when I studied media). A film that felt like it was made for me that I wish more people talked about.
