Going to do some book browsing tomorrow for my birthday. 
Might buy a horror novel or short stories. I’m thinking Laird Barron, Christopher Buehlman, Isabel Cañas, Mariana Enriquez, Catriona Ward.
Also thinking of a graphic novel with some fresh and exciting art.
I like poetry, and I’m currently very interested in the possibilities of poetry and illustration. Something like Mervyn Peake, Julian Peters.
Anyone have any suggestions?
@miksimum Wonder Woman Historia: The Amazons has some beautiful artwork and is an interesting reimagining of the Amazons.
The Strange Tale of Panorama Island is also beautiful, while the story has more going on than I realized until I learned more about its origination.

If you like horror and want some illustration with it, Baltimore is a great option IMO.
@dbsalk thanks for this! I love Mike Mignola’s art. I struggled to get a good scary book, but ended up getting some stories by Llaird Baron. This one will be on my list!
