In advance of tomorrow's awfulness, I want to do the for today:
1. I saw A Complete Unknown & was blown away. It made me grateful to be alive while is and thankful to my brother, who introduced me to Dylan's music when I was 13. 51 years in, I've never recovered.
2. My dog Scout, proud member of the .
3. The watchmaker who fixed the Hamilton watch that another jeweler said couldn't be fixed. It was an anniversary gift from my dear partner 30 years ago.

@CindyWeinstein 1. I rally loved the movie too. Been a Dylan fan since my sister recommended him to me in 1965 or so.

2. My father's Hamilton square-face, which he bought in '57 and gave to me in '70, has been at the watchmaker's for 3 years now, but I'm still hopeful.

Small world....

3 years! I should say when I first brought it to someone, that person was a jeweler and not a watchmaker so I was told the watch was kaput. I decided to try another place and it worked! The guy make it work (and it was just a battery thing; the first jeweler didn't wipe some acid that had gotten onto the gizmo).

Maybe try another watchmaker?

@CindyWeinstein This is a parts issue, I'm told. It's a mechanical watch, no batteries at all. He's fixed it before

Ahhh. fingers crossed that it gets fixed before too much time (hah!) passes.
