More data on the continuing engineered .... this time on the proportion of people waiting for more that four hours in A&E (and that is once they've actually got there, of course).

The last decade has seen A&E capacity stretched to breaking point.... even if the are successful at pushing people towards private , much of the A&E 'traffic' would be refused by cherry picking private hospitals, leaving anyone who has an emergency in a vulnerable position.

Chart: The share of people waiting more than four hours in A&E has increased (%) shows from 2013 in England, Scotland & wales proportion has grown from below 20% to now between 30-50%. Scotland performs best withe promotion staying below 20% into 2021, then climbing to 40% before falling back to 33% England worse, with 20% breached in 2018 & rising to 50% in 2022, before falling back to just above 40%. Wales a bit worse to start off & then better than England at the end of the period.
