Dinner, drinks and games with friends at the regular place we've gone to since shortly after it opened in its current incarnation tonight. After a 2 week gap, tonight's meal had a 30% discount.
When I thanked the chap and asked why (gift horse, yes; knowledge, better): "It's because you're regulars, sir..." Delighted.

I built mine years ago, and I've barely used it since. It worked well, last time I used it, but it needs a bit of fettling if you want to print over the whole bed area (there's a bearing mounting that needs to be printed and fitted).
Another lovely evening out with friends and, coincidentally, another Korean restaurant. This was an all-you-can-eat, BBQ-it-yourself at the table buffet place. Amazing pickled radish and kimchi, and the rest. 
We all realised it's the first non-work-related Friday evening out any of us have had since the beforetimes (pre-COVID). As much as we like to think it's back to "business as usual", but more cautious, so many things aren't what they were. Staggering, really.

Experienced the worst fish & chips I've ever had this evening. #rdguk #food
The place is usually excellent, but this time the fish seemed to have had double the cooking time. The batter exploded when given the necessary force to break through it and the white fish was tougher than cheap smoked haddock.
Didn't make a fuss - it was edible - but I'd have been honest if asked. The waiters knew what was up: the usual "how's your meal?" during/after didn't happen.
Lesson learned, I guess.

It's a big development in the town centre -- the building wasn't in use at that point, and I think the fire was caused by an accident while putting roofing materials on.
As far as I know, nobody was hurt and there was no serious damage to the building.
