Nintendo justifying their prices by saying they judge games in a case-by-case basis. Fine. Is #MariokartWorld then worth 80€? Probably in terms on how huge the game is, but the decision is ultimately ours.

It does show that #Nintendo are slowly abandoning their "blue seas" strategy that began with the Wii, since they're now directly competing with the Steam Deck and similar portable hardwares. I dunno, this might go either way for the company.

Nintendo Switch 2 "Welcome Tour" will be $10 because, according to Nintendo of America's Product Marketing Manager, it is "an interesting product" and it is "not an exorbitant price"

Yeah, alone $10 is not an exorbitant price for a game, but you are also asking $450 for the console alone, plus $20-50 a year, plus $80 for new games.

So suddenly $10 for something you just paid at least $500 on IS quite petty and exorbitant for something LITERALLY called the "welcome tour".
