Looking at the latest polls on this the eve of the 3rd week… everyone is still in their band that they've been in since March 24.

But I do notice the Bloc has hit a new low of 4%.🤔

A sign of a subtle shift in seat-rich Quebec?

LPC: continuing in their band, but on a short downward.
CPC: continuing in their band, but on a short upward.
NDP: fairly stable around 8%

It's useful if you're curious about the messages Mr. Poilievre wants to transmit to the general public, in his own voice.

So far as I know, there is no similar account for the other main party leaders; I'd be happy to share the addresses of such accounts, if they exist. It's a shame no party has an official account on the Fediverse yet.

In #BC today, Mr #Poilievre announced he will ditch the "WOKE passport that Trudeau designed" & bring back images of soldiers & national heritage. The Liberal govt's extensive security upgrades in the new Canadian passport were not referenced.

Canada's 4 seasons are depicted in our new passports.
Poilievre is obsessed with the images & has raged that PMJT incl. an image of a himself swimming at Harrington Lake.🤦

A lie...but it riles up the crowd.

I have spent the last two weeks covering the tour of the #CPC leader Pierre Poilievre. Wasn't easy. CPC is not letting reporters on his plane so we had to arrange our own travel, hotel, filing arrangements. For the next two weeks, I'm assigned to cover LPC Leader Mark Carney. The Liberals allow media on Carney's plane and provide travel, hotel, and filing support. Globals pays the LIberal Party $33,500 for a seat on its plane for duration of the campaign. #elxn45

There is a similar story that’s unfolded in Canada. It’s different (it includes the story of how Harper “reformed” the Progressive Conservatives into a fascist party), but similar enough to help us see how Poilievre has NOTHING to offer Canadians (unless you’re wealthy).

We must recognize that Canada's population growth has outpaced housing supply.

We want parties to recognize we must base immigration goals on our ability to build… and work to build more and leverage the talent of immigrants to build our country.

6. Immigration and Housing Canada’s population is growing rapidly, in part due to deliberate increases in immigration - a key driver of our economy and labor force. However, housing supply has not kept pace with this growth, contributing to the strain on home prices and rentals. In this final category, we assess whether parties present a coherent approach to connect immigration policy with housing policy.
This has two aspects: (1) ensuring housing construction is scaled up to meet the needs of a growing population, and (2) leveraging immigration to help solve housing supply constraints by bringing in skills and labour for building homes. Parties will be graded on acknowledging this linkage and proposing strategies so that Canada’s welcome to newcomers is matched by a plan to house everyone affordably.

The vast majority of developed countries have non-market and public housing systems at greater scale than in Canada.

We used to do this well. We can boost private and non-market housing supply in parallel. We want parties to recognize this.

5.Non-Market and Social Housing While market-driven housing supply is crucial, the evaluation will also grade parties on their plans to support non-market housing options - including affordable rentals, cooperatives, not-for-profit housing, and public or social housing - and to provide housing for those whom the market will likely never serve adequately. A comprehensive housing platform must recognize that market solutions alone will not reach everyone. This section examines whether parties have robust proposals to build and sustain housing that is decommodified and aimed at lower-income and vulnerable populations, as a complement (not a substitute) to overall supply expansion.
