When people’s lives are affected by climate change impacts, they suddenly become socialist and need government support.

Please think about this when you vote. It’s better to be proactive which means bringing in government representatives that will filter decisions through climate impact considerations.

👋 Excellent article covering many areas, here is one excerpt:
"The irony is that even as #Trump and #Poilievre lament the disappearance of the middle class, they aim to put the very last nails in its coffin by eliminating public sector bargaining, defunding public #education and #health care, cutting #social services, undermining secure #employment and #pensions, and leaving #housing strategies to be dictated by developers and the market. After relying on 3 word catchphrases (useful for Media scrums and the short attention span of his supporters) and Trumpian name-calling of opponents, I see Poilievre has now just narrowed it down to one word - Change. No clear guidance in that as to how this Change different from the horrible Harper years - but doubtless - before the week is out - he'll get even more precise and change the slogan on his podiums to 'Me'. Because that's truly what this is all about.

Edit: "Freedum Convoy"..I suddenly feel my headache returning.
oooomph!

Ottawa Occupation!! 😡

The Canadian "oppressed" were truly facing a terribly fascist government as they spent 3 weeks in the nation's capital, drinking and getting high while playing in a hot tub as the Leader of the Opposition, Pierre Poilievre, handed out free donuts and coffee with his truck door to door service with a smile.

Fake quote from Carney's book spreads online; leader did NOT write West is 'morally rotten'

"Versions of the image appeared on Instagram, posted by former NHL player Theo Fleury, as well as on the X platform, formerly Twitter.
Before the election was called, Conservative MP John Brassard attributed a similar quote to Carney in a March 15 Facebook post but did not share the image."

Voted yesterday.
Record turnout at advance polls!
It’s a big one for sure.
Also, the new Conservative ad with the two old white dudes golfing is hilariously cringe. You KNOW they just said something racist. It’s almost as bad as the one with Stephen Harper desperately trying to squeeze out a smile. Just embarrassing.
