I have had to have a few ankle fusions since a motorbike accident in 2004. My most recent fusion was in 2019 and involved two screws to attach the calcaneous heel bone to the talar bone above it.
The screws are each 7 mm diameter and about 70 mm long and I’ve had to have them removed because they were pushing through the flesh at the back of my heel making it hard to walk.
Here is the photograph of the x-ray. The plates and screws above are from previous fusions and are not causing any problems at the moment.

The earliest I can give blood is late August due to my suspension. No I haven't been red-carded for behaviour, but my blood was failing some post-donation tests and they wanted me to have a year off.

On the other hand, that gives me four weeks to get a first new piercing or tattoo in over twenty years (and thus end my six-month suspension by late August)...

And my midlife-crisis brain is muttering, 'do it, do it, do it...'

I may be 31 but I still like ripped up skinny jeans and chains on my wallet.

Always been #agender in my mind.

I've still got an attitude problem sometimes, not made any better by #tourettes, and despise someone telling me what to do unless I agree, or they have weapons.

Dunno why I ever stopped. I just bought some #makeup.

Time to have a #midlifecrisis and watch some tutorials.

I'll probably only live to 60 anyway.
