Progressive social media sensation #Kat #Abughazaleh released a video Monday that kicked off her bid to unseat Democratic Rep. #Jan #Schakowsky of Illinois.

“Donald Trump and Elon Musk are dismantling our country piece by piece,
and so many Democrats seem content to just sit back and let them,”
Abughazaleh says in the video.
“So I say it’s time to drop the excuses and grow a f***ing spine.”

After graduating from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., with a degree in international security,
Abughazaleh, 26, took a job with the left-leaning watchdog group Media Matters before being hired by Mother Jones in 2024.
She is best known for videos in which she derides Fox News and conservative personalities. On TikTok, she has over 217,000 followers, and nearly 200,000 more on X, and some of her videos have received more than 1 million views.

He acabado de leer “Laszivia” de JAN, quizás no sea imparcial, pero esta es mi opinión:

Laszivia es un “rara avis” en la carrera de Juan López Fernández, el autor de Superlópez, conocido artísticamente como JAN. Podrá haber facturado un álbum extraño, incluso para algunos lectores podrás ser ofensivo 40 años después de su edición, pero lo cierto es, que aunque dirigido para el público adulto, Laszivia es aún hoy en día un ave fénix que brilla con luz propia.

Laszivia son aventuras espaciales protagonizadas por el Capitán Rayón y su tripulación en el “María de la O Palencia”. Y vaya que tripulación, a cual más loco.

Podría ser similar al cine del destape en su género, pero casi seguro que fue toda una liberación al acabar su etapa en la clásica editorial de tebeos Bruguera. En una época en la que buscando aire fresco se atrevió con dibujos explícitos cargados de sexo, pero no te dejes engañar, es divertido, muy divertido e inteligente como solo el maestro JAN sabe hacer. Incluye el particular juego con el vocabulario y te arrancará sonrisas en cada capítulo y pecado capital saltando por la anatomía del peculiar mapa. Viajarás por el espacio a los destinos más variopintos a los que nos ha acostumbrado JAN en álbumes como “El infierno”, “La caja de Pandora”…

Mi recomendación: léelo si no tienes remilgos y te gustan los tebeos de toda la vida. JAN casi nunca defrauda.
