I used to find it puzzling that hardly anyone in or associated with the Republican party expressed any concern about future Democrat presidents using the same pretty chunky holes they've effortlessly punched through all sorts of imaginary protections the Constitution provided. Now I think they just don't care, or even actively welcome the prospect of a Democrat Trump-like figure in power some day.
