Emeritus Prof Christopher May

Another day, another politician forgets (due to an 'oversight') to declare shares in companies that are directly related to his political activity.... this time Lord Darzi & interest in four private health firms.

They're a forgetful lot these senior politicians - perhaps the House of Parliament register of interests should be handed over to the DWP, who seem to have a lot less patience with such oversights (by benefits claimants)!

The Guardian · Peer who led government NHS review failed to declare shares in health firmsBy David Conn

@ChrisMayLA6 They really ought to start testing Lords and MPs on a yearly basis for alzheimers and dementia so they catch them earlier.
If people can't drive with bad eyesight they certainly shouldn't be running the country when they can't remember to declare their millions in related stocks.

@etchedpixels

yes, wealth amnesia seems quite widespread in the political class... a research project to identify why its so endemic?

or shall we just call them corrupt and save the research grant money?

@ChrisMayLA6 only “forgetful” when they get found out to be the duplicitous bastards they are.

@ChrisMayLA6

It was only a few companies, easy to forget if you have a good spread of shares, it was probably only a few quid invested [checks report] ah half a million $ in one of them. Oh.
