The Archbishop of York's defence of twice reappointing David Tudor (who had been barred for working with children due to having raped a child) as an Area Dean, includes the fact that he was not advised that he should not reappoint Tudor.
Just to be clear; a leading member of the clergy acted in a way that seems pretty clearly morally questionable, because no-one advice him not to.... err, aren't Bishops meant to be moral leaders, not people whose morals are taken on advisement?
