The Temptations. All Directions
By 1972 the Motown sound was funkier & partly due to Norman Whitfield. This landmark Temptations LP is one of his earlyish masterpieces of the slow-tempo spacy funk for which he became famous.
Standout track:
Papa was a Rolling Stone - dominating the LP at nearly 12 mins of groovy funkiness, this is really worth getting the LP for alone but there's some other good stuff too!
@ChrisMayLA6 This one and 'Masterpiece' are my rarities among my Temptations records. And their singing is magnificent.
