What billionaires are 'trying to escape is civilisation, the rule of law, other people – bluntly, us. They’re trying to escape us'...
and to use a phrase Zoe Williams doesn't: 'the only dangerous minority are the [ultra] rich'!
@ChrisMayLA6 "Get rid of Billionaires and we can save the Planet"
Wonder how long before that sentiment gets me on a watch list...
clock's ticking.....
@ChrisMayLA6 It's a damn shame @zoesqwilliams isn't posting here any longer.
@ChrisMayLA6 @zoesqwilliams Anyway, yes, Musk's approval of the idea of crashing the US economy for a few years makes me think that the next stage in the escalation of wealth disparities isn't just him accumulating even more obscene amounts of money, but him increasing his relative share of humanity's wealth by driving the rest of us into deep poverty. I suspect that part of his motivation is based on eugenics, and that he wants to starve the unworthy in order to "improve" the human race.
I wish I could unread your post.... truly chilling
@ChrisMayLA6 If THEY treat us like this now (when they DO need us), what happens to US when they DONT (through let's say a future AI and robotics)?
@ChrisMayLA6 I think it's law and rules and restrictions. They like unpoliced places. Islands and boats.
@jna @ChrisMayLA6 there should be more horror movies about 'a Billionaire's island'
It's a rich vein of horror and drama.
but where they can act like sovereigns themselves....
@ChrisMayLA6 The French dealt well with their elite in 1789. The current lot should be mindful of telling the proles to eat cake.
