So today I officially stopped working in my non-uni job (I’m helping out there for 5 hrs/week until autumn though) and returned the keys to my old uni office after moving the rest of my stuff to my new uni office. Today also was the last day before the semester break. I tied up a lot of loose ends this week and even though I’m still a little gutted my new position isn’t a research position (don’t get me wrong, I still like my new job a lot), I’m really looking forward to this ‘new’ life.
I’m also incredibly grateful to have a best friend who understands academia and always manages to help me calm down without ever giving me the feeling that my worries are laughable or stupid, and without whose support I never even would have come this far in the first place.
