I told my best friend yesterday that I’m annoyed I have to be at the office tomorrow on very short notice because a murderer is having his day of escorted leave from prison and wants to drop by, and judging from my best friend’s panicked look I probably forgot to mention that my work does this volunteer group at prison where the discuss politics and educate prisoners. 
Am I glad the guy is escorted? Yup. Am I glad one of the male volunteers will be chatting with him while I’ll stay at my desk working? Yup. Because this is a guy who murdered women and while he is polite, he can also be intense and creepy and you really *don’t* want him to know anything about your personal life.
Also really uncool that the prison complained they could not reach me via the landline at the office (I only work 15 hrs a week and half of them remote 
), so instead of writing an email or calling my work mobile phone, they complained to one of the volunteers until said volunteer gave them my private mobile phone number. Didn’t even know the guy had my private number.
