Astounding vol. 62, no. 3 (November 1958)
Two old friends talking about their jobs as, I'm guessing, space ship captains? They don't seem very happy, do they, despite the beers they're having. There's a clue in the story title but it just makes it more puzzling.

Due to the sudden onset of war in the asteroid belt, our heroes are POWs. To escape to a nearby asteroid, they cobble together a rocket powered by beer...
This is one I own. The story's a lot of fun.
