@ChrisMayLA6 I can't advise using Amazon, but uk.camelcamelcamel.com tracks prices of products on that site all year, so you can compare its Black Friday prices to its normal ones, to see if you're actually making a saving.

I'm sure people have made similar things for other e-tailers.
