If you were hoping that the forthcoming (likely Wednesday) UK #NationalFraudStrategy might force #BigTech to pay victims' compensation for online #fraud to 'encourage' them to actually do something about it... I'm afraid you're likely to be disappointed.
It looks like backroom #lobbying has convinced the Govt. to instead introduce a voluntary code where #tech firms will undertake to do more about #onlinefraud.
So, we can expect little real action while the #criminals continue their work
