#unfollow

Hidden features on #Mastodon: Perhaps you know the situation: Someone #follows you and suddenly only misbehaves. You wish the person had never followed you.
You can simply and quietly get rid of them: Go to Preferences, click on Following/Followers in the menu and select what you want, in this case "Followers" = people who follow you. Check the person's box. Then click on #Unfollow selected users.
Unfortunately you can't search names or do that directly on profiles.

Wops, I accidentally blocked mastodon.social for a second here on the fediverse.

My apologies to anyone who followed me and got caught in the crossfire, I lost about 79 followers in the process.

I was trying to block a user and misclicked without paying attention

So sorry for the inconvenience!

Sending you all on mastodon.social lots of love! ❤

But feel free to if things get overwhelming. And use to put your follows into more manageable cohorts to see what a limited group of people are posting.
