There's a million (give or take) Kpop songs called Rollercoaster and I would've picked NMiXX's, but woo!ah! actually has scenes in front of our favourite merry-go-round and like half a second of an animated roller coaster in the MV so they get the nod.

Last of the #SanDiego trip pictures. This is the Giant Dipper at Belmont Park. It's a near-twin of Santa Cruz's Giant Dipper.
A few years ago I took some pictures the Dipper at the SC Boardwalk and the white framing was not very well distinguished from the sky behind it, and that's when it really clicked that I needed to try filters. So I applied that lesson here and it works. Also got a sky that looks a bit more dramatic than it really was, but not complaining about that.

#Rollercoaster news

This is so sad. Oakwood is - was... a really lovely park and I've done not one but TWO all-day coaster-riding marathons for charity there, and met many of my current friends during club trips twenty or so years ago. This is like losing an old friend :( Megafobia had recently been refurbished, too, it seems.

Heard "Ready to Go" by Republica on my way into work this morning and it instantly reminded me of riding Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point. After an accident caused the ride to shut down it was retrofitted into Top Thrill 2, which I haven't ridden, but part of the conversion was turning the single hydraulic launch into a multi-pass magnetic launch. Now that Top Thrill won't be the same and Kingda Ka was demolished it's a bittersweet feeling.

Top Thrill Dragster's iconic top hat seen from the station. It used to launch up this tower in one shot from 0 to 120 mph in under 4 seconds. I was lucky enough to ride it a handful of times before it was converted.
