This is not #BlackAndWhite ! We've had #Snow most days in the last week plus-not huge amounts but enough to make a #WinterWonderland
with little wind + no melting temperatures to disturb the white! Should start to shift a bit today- some wind then warmer temperatures next week . There is likely some #frost #rime #FrozenFog on those branches as well

Looking up through the small trunks and branches of a number of Saskatoon/Amelanchier/Serviceberry small trees. The branches and stems (except for some dark bits showing on main trunks and few other branches) are thickly coated with fine snow and probably frost. They are seen against a sky which is evenly light grey, not much contrast from branch to sky.
Looking up through several large spruce trees and a couple of bare poplars. The branches and stems (except for some dark bits showing on main trunks and a few other branches on the poplars, plus parts of the undersides of the dense spruce boughs) are thickly coated with fine snow and probably frost. They are seen against a sky which is evenly light grey, not much contrast from branch to sky. With the darkness of parts of the spruce and everything else light grey, it seems like a black and white photo.

Kind of a sad day (even as a Canadian, but we have an election within the next year likely to go a similar direction). I'm going to try to think about other things.

From the moving car, looking across a pasture with low grazed grass- dry and golden with the season but now turned silver with frost. 1/3 of the way up the image, a wire and dark post fence cuts across, longer darker grass still holding some gold beneath the fence, then another field with slightly longer grass than the first, also silvered. Beyond that, the land rises a bit to a gentle couple of hills, the lower slopes have been tilled, the black soil dusted with white frost. Nearer the crest a couple of scattered clumps of bare poplars are also silver white with frost, and the highest ridge is another silvery field with a single black speck which is a solitary grazing cow. The sky is mostly a flat blue with a hint of remnant fog/haze in the lower part.
From the moving car, looking through a side window still holding blurred blobs of translucent frost, up into an area of poplar trees, mostly aspens. The trunks are mostly in shadow, silver green with dark markings and some dark branches. Finer branches are all grey to silver to golden white higher up where the sun catches.
