I'd like to think that if we had a *decent* bus service that was *free* that we'd see very little need to expand highways in this city. But noooooo we gotta widen roads although we have known for years that does not work. Period. *sigh*
Conservative campaign foot crew is really phoning it in. I was sitting in my living room with my mom, someone walked up to my front door and slipped a conservative cardboard on my mailbox. They did not knock or ring the bell. The cardboard fell off the mailbox onto the ground before I could get out to collect it a few minutes later.
It has a sticky note on it, saying I should call them to get more info.

Made a donation to Joel Harden campaign for #Ottawa Centre. I think he has a very good chance to win, regardless of national polling, and I dislike his opponent.
No point in donating to the #NDP in #Nepean for this campaign. We'll see what happens in the future. There's a decent body of NDP support, neighbouring districts with NDP MPPs. I think the party needs new leadership, ideas, and organisation to have any success here.
A raven landed in the backyard. Both bipeds and quadrupeds were amazed! Huge bird! Far taller than pup. Beautiful creature. Still amazed by the size close up - I've only ever seen them from a distance.
