Republicans talking up the strength of the #consumer to prevent panic selling #recession.
I don't like #Republicans label of "consumer" on the American customer. It's a way for corporate to devalue the #middleclass.

They don't even realize a "strong customer" would be due to the #Biden economy.

Then they blame Biden for the drop in market value.

Watching #Republicans twist themselves into pretzels and eat their own "economic analysis" is comical.

Recently read this text from Solidarity Apothecary about burnout in organizing and the class perspectives therein - focusing on organizing with middle class.

It was an eyeopener for me, and now im curious about learning more about hidden privileges, feelings of natural entitlement.

Does anyone have short, practical resources about organizing and the class perspectives?
And how to open up for transformative praxis?

#Republicans lost the #middleclass #economy.

70% of consumers say inflation has hurt their household finances.

And compounding matters is that #interestrates remain stubbornly high due to sticky #inflation. In January the Federal Reserve hit pause on interest rate cuts. And it’s likely to hold rates steady when it meets in mid-March"

🤖 another #middleClass vanishing

"The stable middle ground of tech employment - the middle-class engineer - is disappearing. Builders who can code now ship entire products in days using AI. A single developer can now accomplish what once required an entire team. Companies are focusing on engineers who can demonstrate they can do the job of multiple engineers. The biggest losers in this shift may be the fresh graduates looking to enter the industry - recent graduates now have to be better than people already working."

There's talk of a #doge #stimulus with an income minimum

It won't be to help those most in need

It will be to pad the pockets of those who most profit from #consumerism

It may be said that the #middleclass can't help those in need, because so much already goes to supporting #capitalism

Then stop

Engage in mutual survival, not feeding the machine

The machine that continues to bring poverty & death to families such as #SabiLewSounds & family

We can't know the future & so many are struggling in this world

Those who help most struggle most

Those who help least struggle least

The #middleclass produces despots by giving of themselves more to support #capitalism & #fascism, than ever to help those in #poverty

There's this state of #apathy & #complacency, built on fear, that keeps lined the pockets of those at upper echelons of #society

Like keeping those in power appeased, that they too aren't left with nothing
