Hi everyone following #portfolioday . My name is Sacha, I am a comic artist from Gatineau Québec, near the Ottawa area of Canada. I am actively taking commissions for DnD and TTRPG characters, I am also open for projects like book illustrations, album covers storyboards, game art etc.
My main project right now is a ongoing comic series called Seeds of Spring. It's the biography of Peter Kropotkin, the former russian aristocrat turned revolutionary, told through the perspective of a current day high school student.
I am currently selling PDFs of the first 5 books via Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/sacharavenda66232/shop
Physical books are available from Microcosm Publishing

But Russian anarchist and scientist Pëtr Kropotkin had a different idea. After years observing wildlife in Siberia, he argued that mutual aid—not competition—is what ensures survival, resilience, and evolution.
This post kicks off my mutual aid series, exploring how solidarity and reciprocity can help us build equitable, sustainable communities outside capitalist logic.
Today In Labor History March 27, 1993: The London office of the anarchist website and journal, Freedom, was bombed by fascists. Freedom, which started as a newspaper in 1886, was created by volunteers that included Peter Kropotkin.

"Während die Krieger sich gegenseitig ausrotteten und die Priester ihre Gemetzel segneten und feierten, während dessen setzten die Massen ihr tägliches Leben fort, gingen ihrer täglichen Arbeit nach." Peter #Kropotkin, Gegenseitige Hilfe, 1902
"Love to see #Marxists still arguing about measuring or not measuring value when a non-marxist like #Kropotkin already came up with the better position way back in 1892:
You can't measure it and shouldn't want to even if you could. Expropriate everything now and base life on need."
"It takes a village, but not everyone is in your village. That's ok.
Cobble your village together from the smoldering wreckage of the city or country around you.
This is the essence of mutual aid and will be more crucial than ever. Mutual aid isn't just giving money to the friend whose city burnt down before yours.
Share your knowledge. Share your wisdom & your fears. Share your compassion. Share your joy and your tears. Share your skills & yes, even your bills."

@pmpress I rather celebrate #Kropotkin Day on December 9, but here is a #ALT4you:
“Practicing mutual aid is the surest means for giving each other and to all the greatest safety, the best guarantee of existence and progress, bodily, intellectual and moral.”
Peter Kropotkin
My fermentation journey continues with #sourdough. I love the little ritual of feeding it water and flour and having to deal with the exuberant excess of bubbly sourdough with a fragrance of sweet apples. They make nice little pancakes together with some grated fruit/vegetable.
Today I'm reading: The Conquest of Bread by #Kropotkin.
