After a rather knurled first false spring, we’ve got some days coming up that might actually be real spring. The #Daffodils and #Crocus are always early risers after winter around here in #SWMichigan #Kalamazoo #Bloomscrolling

A tightly curled Daffodil shoot is just about ready to unfurl. Green and brown litter on the ground, a bright green stalk amongst side leaves, and topped with a brilliant yellow cone of curled up blossom.

A purple crocus. Surrounded by dirt and leaf litter from last fall, this low-slung crocus is purple, with a tight white edge around the blossoms and a deep golden center where the stamen and pistils are.

This is what #DEI does to a company. #Costco in #Kalamazoo. This place is jammed packed. No parking at all, and a waiting line for shopping trollies. I find this wonderful. Yes. This is what DEI does. If only shareholders could see, anything at all beyond their bigotry and hate. Mmmm money, does that aroma entice you?

@AskPippa This also applies in the US. Unless you live in New York City or wherever a big corporation is based, unless you buy local, your money is leaving you town, state, etc.

We have that problem in #Kalamazoo, MI with a chain car washes based in Indianapolis starting to build up here. After paying the, few, employees the money leaves the community.

A new #Turkish restaurant opened in #Kalamazoo, right on #WMU’s main campus, next to the FedEx office, called Ayasofya. Went for dinner, it was lovely! I had their namesake kebab, @youngavenger had the Sujuk Pide. Had a lovely time. The restaurant is big, very clean, and really bright inside. The staff are soft spoken but patient and kind. If you’re in #SW #Michigan, it’s really worth a visit.
