It's maple sugaring time. I worked it once during college break upstate New York not far from the 
border. Buckets of sap into a tank hauled by a tractor to the sugar shack for boiling.

Kingston Water Department is working outside and has the street closed in one direction. The flagger is letting Trailways and county buses through but not cars.
I am enjoying watching drivers lose their minds each time buses are given preferential treatment.

#NewYorkCity recently declared a #drought warning for the first time in 22 years. As unusually #dry #weather has affected much of the #US for most of fall, the northeast has seen particularly noticeable drought-related problems, such as reduced #reservoir levels and exacerbation of #wildfires in #NewYork and #NewJersey. The warning extends beyond the city and includes 10 counties encompassing much of the #HudsonValley.
