His business, built entirely with AI assistance and “zero hand-written code,” was experiencing bypassed subscriptions, maxed-out API keys, and database corruption. His follow-up admission made this notable: “as you know, I’m not technical so this is taking me longer than usual to figure out.” As someone deeply immersed in the AI code generation space, I’ve been watching this unfold with a mix of sympathy and frustration. Let me be clear — I’m not against AI-assisted development. My own tool aims to improve code generation quality. But there’s a growing and dangerous fantasy that technical knowledge is optional in the new AI-powered world. After observing many similar (though less public) security disasters, I’ve come to a controversial conclusion: vibe coding isn’t just inefficient — it’s potentially catastrophic.

Spoiler : it doesn't look like it anytime soon... And likewise, Llama 4 is not open source, unless if Meta engineers downloading copyrighted material without permission on their corporate laptops to train their models means open source..

I hate how insipidly stupid, or just plain evil, those goals so often are, and the yawning chasm between them and any form of achievable reality. I hate that Big AI’s successes are inflated and its failures ignored — or are even categorised as hilarious mis-steps, like when AI chatbots tell people to eat poisonous mushrooms, put glue on pizza, or make air diffusers from chlorine gas.

"I hate that Big AI consumes so much energy that every time you generate a six-fingered portrait of Anne Frank or a scene from the Vietnam war in the style of Studio Ghibli, you might as well just kill a polar bear with a crossbow. I hate that it can run roughshod over every copyright law and environmental protection on the planet in pursuit of the data it needs to continue failing, with no consequences save for the enrichment of the worst people on Earth, who have managed to make all of this magical bullshit seem sensible to an intellectual class comprised of people I wouldn’t trust to print an email.

I hate the constant, deadening marketing of machine-generated slop as a replacement for human thought and creativity. I hate every shiny, godawful image from an 'AI artist', and each lifeless line of pilfered prose, Frankensteined into existence by an 'AI author', posited as a substitute for illustrators and writers facing pay and working conditions already decimated by assaults on their professions from those self-same Silicon Valley hordes."

Well, if you put the phrase "balance bilateral trade deficits" into AI engines, the administration's approach (or some close approximation) is what you get. That is the case with ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, and Claude. If you put the phrase into Grok, you get the EXACT formula the White House used. In other news, Grok is the AI platform owned by... Elon Musk.

Guess you don't need the terminator to destroy the world. Simple AI is enough.
