Fountain pens are more environmentally friendly than disposable ballpoint pens, right? But what about the ink I use to refill? I wonder if there's a way to buy ink but use your own inkwell. I just want the ink, not the bottles they come in.

ink swatches via cotton swabs. from top to bottom: gris toits, a nice medium blue grey. king lear, a green grey that can layer up pretty dark. fuyu syogun (shōgun), blue-purple medium grey that can layer from fairly light to quite dark. then vert réséda, a happy bright teal like a tropical sea. last is marley, purple medium grey that has some nice blue and purple chromashading. each is labeled with their names in fuyu shōgun which displays nice shading even with a fine nib.

Small person guitar lessons over. Our home breathes a sigh of relief and the silence is blissful. Some quiet time now with pens and ink while lunch does its thing in the oven.
@Parker51 and I had a brief chat about Diamine ink yesterday. We’re feeling a wee bit smug, so this is for her.
