ABC News · Major Florida grower plans to build new community after ending citrus operationsBy The Associated Press

I finally up-potted my kaffir lime. Years overdo, honestly, and the poor thing was terribly root bound. Now in a 24" diameter from 12ish.

Other citrus are all blooming, including the Satsuma mandarins that only bloom once a year. Thinking about moving outside to increase pollinator access but is slightly early.

We are enjoying the almost intoxicating scent of the orange trees in full bloom. During the peak of blooming, the tree is buzzing with bees.

BTW, I'm using tree, singular, and trees, plural, interchangeably because it is a four in one hole setup. The bottom few feet fused together over time, so they look like a single large tree.

Also, some normally calm gardeners get agitated when you mention this strategy, 😃.

🥛😋 Ice water* with lime**, in a plain glass tumbler***. Just the thing for a splendidly sunny #Melbourne #Saturday afternoon.

* Plain alcohol-free tap water.

** Home grown! The first fruit from one of our two dwarf #citrus trees, a Tahitian Lime (The other tree is a Eureka Lemon, but its fruit is still green). #gardening

*** The tumbler originally contained Vegemite, in those oh so long-ago days when such things came in attractive, reusable containers.
