In a post apocalyptic world, there won’t be zombies or battles for oil. Just regular people trying to let go of their past and doing the best they can to create new ways to live. Three more days for #FediHumans to get a free copy of my just released novel HUMAN. Visit bretthodnett.com/FreeHUMAN.htm and use the code ‘fedihuman’ to get your free EPUB!

bretthodnett.comHUMANA remarkable exploration of family, society, and what makes us human, HUMAN will take you from the post-apocalyptic world of the near future, to the two very different societies that emerge 15 million years later, where those few surviving individuals have evolved to become something that we might not fully recognize as human.

Gyrocopter unlocked and built. Now I can fly over the snarling zombie hordes, at the cost of vast amounts of gasoline and awkward take-offs and landings.

Very good for scouting the map quickly. Picked a better spot and started building a new base there. At the corner where forest, snow and wasteland meet, so I can have all the resources nearby.

The longest single piece I've ever done is this zombie horde shirt from 2018. From start to finish it took about a year, but around 80 hrs of drawing. I'd lost motivation so I asked people to send me photos of themselves making their best zombie faces. The piece has about 40 actual people in it. My wife and I can be seen in the in-progress images; she's holding our old dog and has her hand on my head. This shirt is still in my regular wearing rotation.

Playing some strange twin stick shooters/roguelikes on itch today. The first one I tried is called 'Holding Out' (you can download for Windows or play in browser as I am from this Linux laptop) and it's a shooter where you're some kind of weird creature, fending off other weird creatures that have been turned to zombies-- but you're also stuck in a warehouse and waiting on hold for help and for more supplies. Hilarious and stressful.
