"The Way It Used to Be" is a song recorded by #EngelbertHumperdinck, which was released on the album Engelbert and as a single in 1969. It is an English language adaptation of the #ItalianLanguage song "Melodia", which was originally released by Isabella Iannetti in 1968. The song was a top ten hit in multiple countries, and spent 14 weeks on the #UKSinglesChart, peaking at No. 3, while reaching No. 1 in #Flanders and Singapore, No. 3 in Malaysia, No. 5 in #Yugoslavia.

In 1971, my older brother and I attempted to collect the autographs of all the world leaders. We kept a detailed record of who we wrote to, who responded, and how long it took. The project lasted for several years. Here are some of our treasures!

It's been a while since I listened to this #Yugoslav Hi-NRG outfit from #Ljubljana. Too long really because this album is not only a great showcase of the burgeoning #newwave scene in the country, but it also is one of the absolute best albums in the Hi-NRG genre. The tracks are tight, upbeat, fresh and quite experimental at times, like the closer track Neonska Reklama 2. This album doesn't ever disappoint!
