MeshCore, a new lightweight, hybrid routing mesh protocol for packet radios
@LaurensHof monolithic design and the absolute need for monetization is why #bluesky will fail. A proprietary walled gardens based on #ads will go the same route as a closed sourced email #protocol.
If you are a #developer and need to combine several #protocol #bindings for an #IoT system, the ACME-CSE provides a great environment for learning and experimentation https://acmecse.net/home/Supported/ #CoAP #http #MQTT #WebSocket

#ITByte: In #Cryptography, a zero-knowledge #Proof or zero-knowledge #Protocol is a method by which one party (the prover) can prove to another party (the verifier) that a given statement is true while the prover avoids conveying any additional information apart from the fact that the statement is indeed true.

End-to-End Encryption for RCS, enabling Secure Cross-Platform Messaging.
Text messages sent between iOS & Android devices will soon benefit from end-to-end encryption, after the GSM Association published new specifications for the RCS protocol that include support for cross-platform E2EE.

I must warn you I’m not into conspiracies…
I remember a time when I was dialing up to a University computer to work on programmes for assignments (early 1980s) and the ‘internet’ was ‘clean’, that is to say I don’t think WWW was born yet - the stuff polluting the on-line world.
And I stand by my assertion (fully backed up by any Computer communications 101 course book) the #Internet is just a #protocol stack. I ought to know I study it and used used for over 30 years.
Question for the #Fediverse / #Mastodon community:
--------------------
1) What would #Bluesky have to do to make their world attractive to you.
--------------------
2) Related: is an #app that integrates #ATProto and #ActivityPub #protocol a practical possibility?
--------------------
I am posting this hoping to start a #public #conversation. I am @EubieDrew.bsky.social over there. Also put a post about this on Bluesky -- https://bsky.app/profile/eubiedrew.bsky.social/post/3ljselb7upc22
I was playing a bit with Postgres, wanted to ask Oldes few questions and instead of answering me, he basically took over and the result is that there's now PostgreSQL scheme for Rebol3.
The Skype protocol is a proprietary network used for Internet telephony. Its specifications are not publicly available, and all official applications based on the protocol are closed-source.
I have heard discussion about upcoming Fediverse technology. Is there a new protocol coming in the future, and will the current fediverse platforms adapt it? Is the ActivityPub protocol being improved as well?
My main concern is that some fediverse platforms are not compatible. For example, PixelFed cannot view posts that don't include images, and Mastodon cannot view private messages.

What is #ActivityPub? ActivityPub is an open, decentralised #W3C-#protocol that allows different social media and social messenger platforms to communicate easily.

Wayland: The Modern Display Server Protocol for UNIX-like Systems
Wayland represents a significant evolution in the way graphical systems are built for UNIX-like operating systems. It was conceived as a response to the longstanding complexity of the X Window System, aiming to create a simpler, more efficient, and secure mechanism for managing display output and user input.
