I know for sure I've seen Muppet Treasure Island at least 5 times since it's the third best Muppet feature of all time, but how did I never notice the Merpig tattoo on Kermit's chest???
I really love the Muppets and right now I am in the middle of watching a series called 'The Muppets Mayhem', about the music group Dr. Teeth & the Electric Mayhem, and they explain the origin of Animal. There was a knock on the door of the house the band lived in and Floyd Pepper answered it on their front stoop someone had left baby Animal. And they took him inside and adopted him

Would not surprise me if it was Nureyev's idea to make the skit the steamiest in muppet history.
My favourite muppet dances nr3, and my all time favourite; Swine Lake. Not marred by any skit this time (because who would dare). Background; when Nureyev agreed to be on the Muppets is first wish was to dance with miss Piggy, but her puppets are designed without legs - and when she has legs they're not danceable. So, instead they had Nureyev and ms Piggy do a skit (toot below) and Graham Fletcher worked the "muppet" as the 1st ballerina of Swine Lake
