Open Risk<p>EU institutions are probably the biggest (if not only) ongoing believers on <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/semanticweb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>semanticweb</span></a> and related <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/linkeddata" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>linkeddata</span></a> technologies such as OWL ontologies etc.</p><p>The logic behind the use of such tools is as impeccable as ever (quote: enables systems and services to exchange and interpret data meaningfully) but history (rather, bigtech centralization) decided otherwise.</p><p>Whether the push for a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/eurostack" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>eurostack</span></a> will bring those ideas back into the mainstream remains to be seen.</p><p><a href="https://interoperable-europe.ec.europa.eu/topic/ict/semantics" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">interoperable-europe.ec.europa</span><span class="invisible">.eu/topic/ict/semantics</span></a></p>
