Another wrecker jumps ship; decided to do something else...

So where will he go now... so far an attempt to work for an Australian mining firm Fortesque came up against the HoC regulations... and of course caught him out demanding £10k a month for an advisory position.

Given his less than stellar record, who knows where he'll turn up.... a US Foundation perhaps?

Wherever it is, I'm sure he'll spin his time with the Truss regime as a glorious success....

The FT's verdict on 's recent mea culpa on his budget (which he delivered as you will recall, during his historically brief tenure as Chancellor)

(You'll recall that the international 'markets' (by which we mean & speculators) were unimpressed by his budgetary approach.)

'Those pesky irrational markets. If only Kwarteng had studied financial history a bit harder before becoming Britain’s top financial minister'.

(Kwarteng is of course an historian of financial markets!)

Nice work if you can get it:

Treasury accounts reveal that after their 49 day reign, & got £18,660 & £16,867 severance payments... which works out at over £300 per day (on top of the normal MP's wage they received before, during & after their escapade).

Yup, its no surprise these people have little idea about what a looks & feels like for .... they live a cushioned existence of privilege & payment(s) for failure!

The ripples of the are starkly revealed in this report from The Observer on how the activities of drug dealers are made much easier by the effects of the crisis (parents unable to pick up kids from school, children cold & hungry)... slowly but surely & over a decade of have engineered significant problems for the vulnerable in society... whatever may think politics is not a game!
