Late?
Late?
I’ll give you late…
Oh wait I just did.
My bad.
Speaking of which…
Bad enough dying but often not considered - no control over what stand-for-nothing pseudo-fascist prick will show up at your funeral.
Basic bee facts every day at 3pm.

The ability of #bees and other insects to forage diminishes as #pollution in the air increases.
Air pollutants such as #ozone break down scent molecules emitted by #plants which #insects use to locate vital forage sources.
That's it. I got the bug.
Now I've an urge to take picture of everything ant related.
The Donkey Tail growing down by the marina parking lot is flowering and is covered with pollinators!! I think these are all new species for me: some kind of Halictus furrowing bee (maybe Halictus rubicundus), another that looks like it’s in Lasioglossum, and then possibly a Purple Miner Bee (Andrena prunorum)
There were definitely more out there but I’ll have to go back with the big camera to get enough detail. Just had my phone on me!
These moths[*] only show up in my garden a few times a year and only at dusk. Makes it a challenge to photograph them.
One of my better shots of this moth: https://jordansissel.smugmug.com/Backyard-Garden/i-zqgczGd/A
I finally have a contribution of my own for #WeevilWednesday this year! This tiny ink-blue weevil was having a hard time scaling the dead leaf.

Common buckeye butterflies are known for their distinctive eye like markings on their wings. This butterfly is a frequent sight across many regions of the United States and Mexico.

This Epicauta callosa blister beetle looks a little guilty, like I caught it in the act of a secret pollen heist. Texas. #Meloidae #pollinators #Insects #Epicauta
The fantastic looking caterpillar of a Fruit-piercing Moth (genus Eudocima) spotted at Thomson Nature Park, Singapore on 22 Dec 2024. The gaudy colours and body contortions make it stand out.
