I decided to make a longer #video ca 10 mins (editing is..fun..lol) Cutting #firewood in the #bush on a couple of recent #cold days
I make noise with tarps, crunch around on snow, use a chainsaw + wood splitting maul (big heavy axe- don't call it an axe..lol). Lots of ASMR some plain old noise + jibber jabber as I talk + pretty #forest views of frost crystals falling

A video thumbnail 1920w x 1080h landscape format. Right is me seen from mid chest down, in black hoody and black Dickie work pants chopping wood- I'm using a large heavy yellow and black chopping maul (kind of axe) the wood to be split is placed on another wooden block ( short chunk of log standing on end); the maul has just split a piece of wood, with chunks flying to each side to join the small pile there. This one bears the word Wind. At the bottom of the image in white semibold font the words cutting firewood at -20C/-4f appear.

We've had many days of at least part cloud + #snow though generally light it was just really frequent! We've also had a protracted #cold spell- not as cold as many places, we haven't been below around -35C/-31F a couple of times, so not extreme for us, but odder that it hasn't warmed up for a couple of weeks- we expect more ups and downs..lol (coming later this week above freezing!) Now- a couple of clear days - this was yesterday morning

looking up through some bare poplar branches- dark below snocapped on the upper sides, toward the tops of several trees- a large dense spruce heavily coated with frost and snow, some airy frosty poplar tops and a bit of another snowy spruce. The shot is overexposed a bit, enhancing the white and silver effect, and sky behind is clear blue.
At lower right, a ball of barely gold morning sun shines through the lower branches of a row of tall spruce trees. While still darkish, the trees are lightened by snow on branch tops, and a coating of frost crystals, with the sun adding an extra glow to these water crystals, from the back side of the row of trees. The sky, mostly seen to upper left, is clear blue.
