While it might not have the prestige of the Mustang, the 2014 Ford Fiesta ST has come a long way. Another example of working to make the driving experience fun instead of just throwing raw specs at things. It's front wheel drive, but the nimbleness makes it fun to throw around.

The 1986 Ford Mustang SVO. Less than 10,000 were made across three years.

It was created in response to growing environmental concerns.

Smaller engines, turbos, Hurst shifters, and tweaked suspensions created a better feeling of speed with lower output. 175hp out of a 2.3L I4 wasn't bad for the time.

So this is apparently a Ute—a coupe utility vehicle.

In my head, it sounds kind of like a pick-up truck/car hybrid—Subaru Brat, Chevrolet El Camino, or Ford Ranchero sort of thing. Confirmation welcomed!

This one is the 2014 Ford FPV Limited Edition Pursuit Ute. The factory 6-speed, 5L supercharged V8, and RWD sound like a lot of fun to drive in the snow...

Okay, one more round of screenshots before bedtime. This is the 1992 Escort RS Cosworth. I'll be quick with the details and say that if you grew up in a family with an Escort in the 90s like I did, it probably didn't have AWD and a turbocharged inline four-cylinder pushing 224 bhp. Or maybe your family was cooler than mine... either way, this one is fun to fling around Forza.

Fast forward 49 years from the 302 Boss I shared earlier, and you can see what a little time (and some tuning) can accomplish. This is the 2018 Ford Mustang RTR Spec 5.

It's a factory upgrade package that starts with a stock Ford Mustang GT and ends with two-time Formula Drift champion Vaughn Gittin Jr and the team at RTR coaxing roughly 460 hp and 420 lb ft of torque from the 5L naturally aspirated engine.

Continuing with Forza's FORDZATHON, we've got the 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302, a naturally aspirated beauty created to compete with Chevrolet's rising Z/28 Camaro and destined for homologation. While its production specs claim a respectable 290hp from the 4.9L V8, it's known for feeling much punchier (and often posting higher numbers on the dyno.)

This week's photo contest prompt required the 1965 Ford Transit. Packing 73 hp and a 1.7L four-cylinder engine with a rear-wheel drive configuration, it probably wouldn't work quite so well stock in the drift zone I flung it around in than it did after I swapped a bunch of parts. Still fun though!

Been a while since I posted any of my pictures... so here we go. Behold the 2018 Challenger SRT Demon. A production-built drag car.

At the time of production, it recorded the fastest quarter-mile time for a production car and its 840 hp, 6.2L Hemi V8 made it the most powerful muscle car in production.

3,300 were made. So I'll likely only ever get to drive one in digital form. But here are some Forza shots of it doing what it does best.
