Years ago (?20) I was involved with emergency preparedness for the NHS Hospital Trust I worked for. It was one of the aspects of that job I actually enjoyed.

One course I attended - possibly Coventry University - encouraged us to make an informal risk assessment for our own homes and prepare for the top risks, but be aware of the rest. Mostly these were fire, flood, loss of power etc.
Nowhere did I - or anyone else - have the threat of war in Europe or North America, or the collapse of major currencies, on that list.
It's a scary time to be alive.
