It's been a long time since I've needed to edit and post/schedule an ep of our #DoctorWho podcast Verity!, but I think I figured it out. I even managed to pick a short clip people can listen to on the Patreon page even if they're not a patron. Overall, I did like the season premier of #DoctorWho. Obviously, the two 'hooks' of the villain were very not subtle, but I did like the character of Belinda and thought she was introduced well. I also thought the idea of the Doctor being always too late or too early an interesting idea that was handled well. And I respected the attention afforded Sasha-55; I suspect that triggered some people but I liked it.

JL2 'The Curse Of Time'. An intriguing & very enjoyable story, that takes its time but never wastes it, perfectly capturing the spirit of the era. Drawing inspiration from it in the best way possible; to expand the mythology, not just repeat it. Great to have another adventure with this team, too.

"The Robot Revolution" wasn't a bad episode per se, but the whole "robots abduct someone because their planet is named after her" setup invites comparisons with "The Girl In The Fireplace", and "The Girl In The Fireplace" was a lot better.

And we're back — just in time to see a young English nurse named Belinda Chandra kidnapped from her backyard and taken to a planet named almost exactly the same thing — a planet where, it happens, a whole new season of Doctor Who is kicking off. Let's see how she gets on.

With the hospital power failure and the vapourisation of the cat, I'm worried that #RTD's writing for #DoctorWho is developing a cruel streak.

I'm sad to hear that the legendary Jean Marsh has passed away at the age of 90.

Most will know her as creator and star of #UpstairsDownstairs or her villainous role as Queen Bavmorda in #Willow.

For me I'll always remember her for her many wonderful turns in #DoctorWho.

So I watched it.
